Self-Signed Certificates in Mac OS X

Here are instructions for importing self-signed certificates into Mac OS X.

Rather than going through Safari, it is possible to get the same dialog in, check the comments for details. From what I understand, there is no centralized certificate database for applications in Windows, so it’s an app by app basis there.

All this will do is get rid of the nag screens when using SSL or TLS for mail services, Jabber, or any other service, as we use the same certificate for just about everything.
